Eyes that See

Colored rocks

Line the banks

Of a shallow river

Smothered stones

Underneath thick layers

Of wet undergrowth

Struggle to breathe

Waves of snow-melt

Brilliant waters

Wash out

Fallen tree trunks

Carry them away

To the end of

A bald eagle

Sweeps the skies

Scans the horizon

The land

And the water

For a stray

Life pulsates

With every

Every birth

Or death

Yet only before

Eyes that

Can see

And be

In the middle

Of a sea

Without shores

An ocean

Of endless

A forest

Of dreams

Dreams that transcend

And ascend

Towards an open

Above the waters

Around the eagle

And beneath

A realm

That only eyes

That see beyond

Can grasp and say:

I’m here to say:

Thank You…
