Faint Voices

He calls again

He can’t sustain

The piercing pain

His voice is lost

The doors are shut

The roads are blocked

No one hears

The faint voices

We live in a land

Where no one

Is allowed

To feel sad

Where love is a word

Where care

Is rare

We live in a world

Sharp like a sowrd

Dry, empty and bald

They run around

Lost and found

They hear no sound

Except the inner

Chatter

The faint voices

Have no place

They Get no grace

In a realm

Without a face

Your pain is yours

You’ve got to choose

You’ve got to lose

Your heart, your soul

Or leave it all

Hold back your tears

You’re not welcome here

You don’t belong

There’s something wrong

You’re not strong

Enough to go

Along

To sing your own

Song

Don’t call again

Talk to the rain

You must sustain

The stinging pain

Alone

You’d come alone

You shall leave alone

So sing the tone

Of a lonely man

Yes you can

Die alone

Yes you can

Forget those hearts

Made of stone…

  1. Good poem-lots of texture.
